Nasri Stalling / Wenger Checklist

I know we have been hearing alot of news around North London. Wenger’s busy transfer has started by picking up 2 youngsters from Barcelona ( that will do it !). Benzema, to Arsenal, Nasri to United, ohh what’s next…

I have heard that Nasri has been offered a deal near 90000 pounds/week and he is stalling on it.

Firstly, I believe that Nasri wants to sign with the club but the only reason he is stalling is because of his agent. Nobody would mind a few extra bucks and Sam is quite astute in this case. As for Clichy, he has already rejected one deal and there have been no quotes from him. It’s down to Wenger whether he should stay or not.

Personally, I want both players to stay. However if Clichy demands an unrealistic wage demand we should let him leave. Fetch what we can get from him, and buy Baines. A guy who can even play on the left wing, and LB will be a very intelligent signing.

It’s quite funny when you see what the manager said after the last match at Fulham. He said that they should be allowed to work and the fans will see the changes when the club returns after the summer. I am quite sure the club is already looking into certain situation like membership renewals and transfer targets. But logically, I think we are going to start to see something only after tickets renewal deadline is over. The club can then see how much they have earned and forward the amount to Wenger to spend.

For me Wenger has a method of doing things, and by things I basically mean signings. The man never gives anything away that easily. First, if you ask him anything about the issue he will say he has no idea. Then on subsequent question (probably when the matter has become serious internally) he will say that the player is ‘interesting.’ Then stage 3. This may or may not happen. The transfer target may express his interest in joining Arsenal. And then either the target will fly to London or be announced as a signing soon (probably a press conference shall be called.)

The contract situation, in my opinion has to sorted out fast. Then we can probably start off-loading although this is a very slow and gradual process. During the offloading phase I hope that the club starts to sign defenders. There have been many rumours around the world but a majority of them are bullshit, and have are irrelevant.

I hope Wenger has had his checklist made for things to do in the summer. If he knows how to use the internet, I hope he reads this one incase he has missed out anything :

  1. Sort out Contract issues over Nasri and Clichy.
  2. Find buyers for Denilson, Squillaci, Nikko and maybe (if you get a good one) Eboue.
  3. Have a talk with Cesc regarding his future in the club.
  4. Sign a defender(probably  a CB), and may be Baines.
  5. **Get a new suit/tie.

** Important

  3. nasri and clichy should stay by all possible means and wenger should sign more prolific players than those we have in the club now.

  4. no casuals,,,, copacopna suite and different color ties… always a class act.hope we can hang onto our jems and bring in a couple of good players to backup Alex and Bacary… we might unload two or three guys that haven’t paned out. otherwise i think the rest of our issues are mainly psychological. we did well against teams around us that we used to have problems with, and started this season having difficulty with teams in the middle and bottom of the table. teams we always and consistantly were successful against. either the quality of the league got better or we improved in one area and lost sight and focus in other areas. hope it is a summer with some smart moves in the transfer market. i know chelski, tots , chitty, united and even liverpool with be very active and probably will break the bank this summer. the reason why Arsene is not forth coming in his interviews regarding prospective signings is simple.
other managers have been known to copy him and steal players he had been following in the last minute. here’s hoping BARKA will teach manure a footballing leason. my guess is 2-0 to the cunts from catalonia. or more.
    up the guns!!!

  5. If Man U win tonight….more £ for them to tease Nasri. If Barca win then more £ and off goes cesc. Take your pick. You know it all boils down to TACTICAL management during the season. If we were better here we would be further up the table and with a couple of medals and keeping Nasri and even cesc would not be an issue. Its all an ever decreasing circle without a good tactical strategy and a big temper. (furguson)

  6. Well for me i think Nasri Should stay, if clichy wants to leave let him go besides Banies is more better than him that if only Everton will want to let him go…I think Wenger should get serius about the issues of Cesc really i dont feel like he want Arsenal any longer let him go.and get someone better in his role. If only wenger could sign more CB and get squilash of the Team and a good GK.

Thormy i think you said it all

  7. Nasri should be convince to stay longer at the Emirates. He is one of the most resourceful players for ARSENAL at the moment. The only position that needs to be strengthen is the defense because we have scored a lot of goals this season but conceive a lot as well. We cannot win games if we continue to conceive more goals.

  8. It never ceases to amaze me how simple-minded the fans who blog on this site seem to be. Just do this and that, buy this or that guy, change this or that policy/tactic/approach etc.etc. and ALL will be well. Thank God you lot aren’t actually in charge of anything more than your keyboards!!!
The real world (outside FIFA 2011 or Fantasy Football Manager software) is far more complex and fraught with actual consequences for the decision-makers and the Club. AFC is bigger than ANY player but that doesn’t mean that the loss of Nasri,Cesc ,Arshavin,Bendtner, and Clichy wouldn’t have a dreadful impact on the Arsenal. AW and the Board are fully aware of this and of their need to find a sustainable balance between good transfer policy, good youth development strategies and good financial management. That includes finding new revenue streams, maintaining a high return on investments and keeping their current supporters and encouraging new ones to join the Arsenal family.
None of us (correct me if I err)are privileged to have any inside information or direct knowledge of the functioning and ruminations of the AFC Board or manager, or for that matter the players and staff. Therefore, whatever we say or propose is based on total ignorance of the actual circumstances prevailing inside the Club, however too many yobs on this blog don’t let those facts interfere with their opinions. Opinions are like noses, everyone has one…..that’s everyone’s democratic right but we need to realize that our opinions, laments, whining, rants, pleading, threats, etc. will not reach anyone who cares or can actually effect any change at AFC.

    1. Irrespective of that mate, everyone has a right to voice their opinions. I am sure they also know that the club couldn’t care less, but they still write what they feel. Otherwise, every blog should be closed because people will not be able to express themselves. Its not a question of how simple minded they are rather, how different they are !
