The Preview : Arsenal FC vs Manchester United FC

If you ever had to define a big match, well it’s this one. Arsenal vs Manchester United at the Emirates. Both teams will be looking for 3 points and in the process, Arsenal for pride, and United for a 19th title…

In all fairness, United do have a psychological advantage over us, as they have beaten us at the Emirates more than usual (Last season’s result it was 1-3 victory for them). But I have observed that Arsenal play well, when there is nothing to fight for so hopefully we should do well.

Injury News :

Diaby and Vermaelen are out.

Probable-Line up :

Subs : Lehmann, Gibbs, Eboue, TR7, Arshavin, Nikko, Chamakh.

Final Thoughts :

Pressurising United will be crucial for me, but at the same time we must be wary of their counterattacking capabilities. If we lose the ball in the middle of the park, we should try and get it back as quickly as possible. In terms of our full backs going up, I would prefer that Clichy holds his position longer than usual to prevent the defense from getting stretched incase United throw us a counter-attack. RVP is in good form, so let’s just hope he maintains it with a performance.

Guns-out,

THE ARMOURY

  1. DKD…..LOVE the Arsenal cannon holing the United crest!!!
IF the true Arsenal show up for their fans it could be a 2-1 win for us. IF the whimpy Arsenal show up it will be a 3-1 for them. We have one of the best 11 we can send out and Arshavin,Nikko and Chamakh can make a difference as well.
SAF has mastered the tactics needed to beat Arsenal BUT has Wenger finally figured out how to beat Nabure/SAF?

  2. we need to beat man utd this time as d title is not won or lost yet.mathematically we are still in it.nothing is impossible.this season is best for us to take d league,bt d players are lacking d consistency required.everytime we seemed out, united always put us back in it bt we never take advantage.wenger shud buy right next season.

  3. There is a lot of pressure on United right now and Arsenal could take advantage of that. If the Gunners have a good day and play their best, they can certainly upset the Red Devils.
