Where blogging is more about Honesty, not Pessimism

Some ‘more’ bull-shit from Wenger….

“This is the worst Arsenal team I have seen in my time watching football,” former Manchester United captain Roy Keane, who is now an ITV pundit, said after Saturday’s Cup exit.

“There is a lack of desire and a lack of passion.”

Keane’s comments on Wenger are somewhat appropriate. He said that this is the worst Arsenal team he has ever seen. It hurts when someone says Arsenal is bad. But what he has said is true. Arsenal FC has become the laughing stock among the top teams of the premier league, mainly because they promise s much and do nothing.

“I think it’s a very harsh judgement,” said Wenger. “I felt it was a committed performance and the players gave absolutely everything that was left in their legs.

How was the performance against Sunderland in anyway committed? As I have said before Wenger cannot use the excuse of fatigue because his players did not play in Italy. They should not be tired at all. They don’t look interested in matches nowadays. Can anyone point out the difference between Sunderland and Milan, in terms of on-field play, other than the score?

“It has been very difficult. We have played three successive away games in a week on three very difficult pitches, so I believe we have been very unfortunate.

Fixtures are drafted before the season starts. The fact that we would be playing 3 games in a week was well known to him in the beginning of February. Are the excuses ready-made before every situation? Why can’t we plan for the worse, and sign players? Why is it always the same excuse that old players coming back are like new signings? They are not. They are just old players coming back.

“I felt we were a bit unlucky. It was a 100 per cent performance from us and their first shot was a goal. Then we had to chase the game, take a gamble and they caught us on the break.”

If Arsenal play 100 % and Sunderland play 100 % based on the team which played, who do you think will win?

We have what it takes at the club and we will add what it takes. But I think we have what it takes here when everybody is available because we have many people missing at the moment, and big, big players too.

“We are in mid-February and (Jack) Wilshere has played zero games, (Abou) Diaby has played zero games, (Per) Mertesacker is out for the rest of the season and (Andre) Santos is out for three months. That would be difficult for any club in the world to deal with.

That is why fans ask the managers to sign players as back-ups. Abou Diaby can be sold, who cares? Nobody is asking for an established player. Andre Santos should be a back up, not a first team player. He can be rotated and used for as a winger/left back if Gervinho/’not gibbs’ is tired etc. A versatile player like Diarra can play the role of Mertesacker as well as Diaby. What then to do when Diaby and Co (by this I mean, Denilson, Squillaci etc) are fit. Sell them. What do you think the dross at Arsenal is made of ? Song, Wilshere, may be Diarra, Arteta are all good enough for those roles.

I believe in principles. And I know a lost cause when I see one. Please don’t comment unnecessarily on my character rather try and voice your opinion on the topic.

Remember Comical Ali, Saddams Husein’s funny tv propaganda point man who continued to claim serious losses inflicted on the invading forces even whiles Bagdad was falling? These days Wenger sounds more like Comical Wenger. When will the fool get it inyo his thick skull that the team is not good enough to win anything, not even a Carling Cup Final against Birmingham who were eventually relegated?

Each time Arsenal is exposed he comes up with his pathetic excuses, part of which is never a mention of our true problems. And yet Comical Wenger will remain at his position, to further drag us down with his “philosophy”

I can nolonger even stand the sight of the comedian…

  6. It amazes me that a man paid 7 mill a year cannot teach a team how to defend.Wenger is tactically clueless;he has not bothered to keep up with modern coaching techniques and tactical formations and the fact that he does no scouting of the opposition is truly disgraceful.Relying on “playing our own game” irrespective of the opposition may have worked when he had Berkamp,Henry,Adams,Campbell,Cole,Viera,Pires and even Fabregas but the current bunch are so poor in comparison that they need proper coaching. If O’Neill had been in charge of Afc at the w/end and Wenger in charge of Sunderland,we would have won.Wenger is totally incapable of inspiring anything other than lethargy and a defeatist attitude amonst his players;if you thought that was a “spirited” perormance,Wenger, you need to change your medication. Arsenal will NEVER win anything with him in charge; he has become one of the old stuck in the past managers his arrival on these shores signalled the end of ,others are the Professors now.
